Healing Isn’t Linear...Even in a Season of Love

February is known as the month of love. Hearts, roses, romance, and reminders of what love should look like. But for many of us, February also brings something else reflection, grief, loneliness, or the quiet realization that we’re still healing.
And guess what...that’s okay! Healing was never meant to be linear.
Some days you feel strong, hopeful, and grounded. Other days, the same memories sting. The same questions surface. The same ache returns even when you thought you were “past that.”
Love doesn’t cancel grief. Joy doesn’t erase pain. Growth doesn’t mean you won’t revisit old wounds.
What healing does mean is that you’re learning how to hold space for all of it.
This month, instead of forcing yourself into a version of love that feels performative, I want to invite you into something deeper HEALING LOVE!
Healing love looks like:
Giving yourself permission to rest
Honoring your emotions without judgment
Setting boundaries without guilt
Allowing God to meet you exactly where you are
If February feels heavy, you’re not behind. If you’re still healing, you’re not broken. If love looks different for you this season, it’s still valid.
Healing isn’t about rushing to wholeness. It’s about
choosing compassion again and again even when the journey feels unfinished.
So as we move through this month, my hope is that you allow love to be gentle. Let it restore instead of pressure. Let it heal instead of perform.
And most of all, let it start with YOU.
Let's Reflect On This:
What does healing love look like in your life right now?
