Let's Meet Denisha:
When did helping others become part of your purpose?
Helping others became part of my purpose when I realized how much joy and fulfillment it brought me. What started as simply wanting to support people grew into something deeper once I recognized that making a positive difference in someone else’s life genuinely made me happy.
What has caregiving or service taught you about love?
Caregiving and service have taught me that love can be shown through support and presence. Simply taking some of the load off someone’s shoulders can make a meaningful difference in their life.
How do you refill yourself when you feel empty?
When I feel empty, I try to take intentional time for myself. This is something I’m still learning and working on, but ideally I refill my cup by having a day to myself where I can sit with my thoughts, relax, and reset. Things like getting a massage and allowing myself to slow down help me recharge mentally and emotionally.
What would you say to another woman silently carrying too much?
I would encourage her to unload the baggage she’s been silently carrying. When life feels heavy, it’s often a sign that we need to release the things that no longer bring light or fulfillment into our lives. Choosing yourself every day is an act of strength and self-respect
What inspired you to build something that serves others?
My mom was my biggest inspiration. Helping her with my brother's doctor’s appointments, school activities, and sporting events taught me early on how to be organized, dependable, and supportive. Those experiences shaped my ability to assist others and inspired me to build something that helps lighten the load for people who need support.
What challenges have you faced as a woman leading while also supporting others?
A challenge I’ve faced is sometimes not being taken seriously, especially because I look younger than I am. This can lead to people underestimating me, but it has also strengthened my confidence and determination to lead with professionalism and integrity.
How do you stay connected to your “why” during difficult seasons in business?
I stay connected to my "why" by leaning on my faith. I remind myself that God has never failed me, and that even difficult seasons come with lessons that help me grow and keep moving forward.
What advice would you give to women building something meaningful while also caring for family or community?
My advice would be to pray before making any major move and stay grounded in your purpose. Remember that not all money is good money, so be mindful of the opportunities you accept. Never underestimate yourself, and understand that sometimes your biggest support may come from people outside your immediate circle. Family and friends may love you, but they aren’t always your audience, and that’s okay.
